Afzal Hasan Joins Cassels Brock

Afzal is an associate in the Securities Group. Prior to joining Cassels Brock as an associate, Afzal was a summer and articling student at the firm. During this time he was seconded to the Mergers and Acquisitions Group in the Corporate Finance Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission.

Afzal has been involved in various transactions, including corporate financings, private placements and mergers and acquisitions, for both public issuers and private companies. He has experience with general corporate and securities law advisory matters, particularly with restructuring and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining Cassels Brock, Afzal worked for an NGO in Thailand, interned in the wholesale banking division of a major multi-national bank, and performed independent research in microbial genetics while pursuing his undergraduate studies.
