Blaney McMurtry Welcomes New Associate, Majd Obeid

Majd is developing a broad litigation practice with a primary focus on insurance defence litigation, including motor vehicle accident claims, personal injury matters, occupier’s liability, and public authority defence. He takes pride in maintaining a client-centric approach, working closely with each client to craft litigation strategies that are cost-effective, efficient, and aligned with their objectives.

While completing his Juris Doctor at Queen’s University, Majd worked with Prisoners with HIV/AIDS Support Action Network (PASAN) on a project to develop and distribute an informational booklet for inmates, outlining their rights when placed in segregation. Before joining Blaney McMurtry LLP, Majd practiced at another insurance defence boutique, where he managed a wide range of similar files.

He has represented clients at mediations, hearings, and proceedings before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, and the Licence Appeal Tribunal.
