Hodgson Russ LLP is pleased to announce that Danijel Augustinovic has joined the firm as a partner in its Canada-U.S. Cross-Border and Banking & Finance Practices, based in the firm’s Toronto office.

Danijel’s arrival supports the firm’s strategic expansion in Canada and strengthens its position as a go-to firm for cross-border legal counsel. With significant experience advising Canadian and international financial institutions on complex lending and restructuring transactions, Danijel enhances the firm’s ability to deliver seamless, business-focused solutions across jurisdictions.

His practice includes syndicated lending, acquisition finance, asset-based lending, subordinated and second lien structures, receivables financing, project finance, and debt restructurings. Danijel is particularly adept at helping Canadian lenders and borrowers navigate U.S. legal requirements and assisting U.S. clients with transactions that extend into Canada, making him a key contributor to the firm’s cross-border growth strategy.

Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, Danijel practiced at one of Canada’s leading law firms and a top-tier international firm. He is admitted to practice in Ontario. Hodgson Russ advises clients exclusively on U.S. law.
