David Walters practises exclusively in the field of patents with a focus on the communications and electronics industries. He advises a wide array of clients ranging from small enterprises to multinational corporations, both in Canada and abroad. David works closely with his clients to navigate every stage of the patent process from the initial identification of a need for protection through to patent issuance and dedicates considerable time and resources toward fully understanding how to effectively meet the needs and objectives of his clients. David collaborates closely with clients to ensure that their priorities are met and to mitigate any issues that may arise. His time as a Canadian Patent Examiner combined with his previous experience working as an in-house patent agent, allow him to offer unique insight into the potential challenges a client may face.
