March 25, 2025
SpringLaw is delighted to share that Calvin To has joined SpringLaw as an employment and labour lawyer. He brings a unique background in journalism and a sharp strategic mindset to his legal practice.
A former reporter and anchor for major Canadian news networks, Calvin understands high-stakes issues and reputational risks. He advises employers on workplace matters, including terminations, investigations, AI regulation, and Indigenous identity fraud. Before joining SpringLaw, he practiced at a boutique firm, advising non-profits and small businesses on employment law and commercial agreements.
Passionate about equity and inclusion, Calvin created Voices of the Pandemic, a podcast on anti-Asian racism in Canada. He has also led professional training sessions on anti-Asian racism and is a member of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers.
Outside of work, he enjoys trying new cuisines, sci-fi, and losing to his wife at board games. You’re a great addition to the team, Calvin!
