Whelton Hiutin LLP Welcomes Associate Haya Sardar
Whelton Hiutin LLP is pleased to welcome Haya Sardar as an Associate in the firm.
November 5, 2024
Haya joined Whelton Hiutin LLP in 2024 as an Associate, after articling with the firm from 2023-2024. She is passionate about all things litigation, including civil and commercial litigation, as well as appellate advocacy.
Haya graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2023. During law school, she particularly enjoyed competitive mooting, as it nurtured her love for appellate litigation and the incremental evolution of the common law. Haya represented the University of Toronto in the Wilson Moot, where her team received the award of second place factum.
Outside of mooting, Haya was involved with various legal clinics including the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic and Pro Bono Ontario. She also had a particular interest in interdisciplinary legal studies, combining law with economics, literature, and philosophy.
Haya is an avid reader and dedicates her time to furthering her more academic knowledge of the law. In her free time, she likes to compete in trivia competitions, play the bass, and devour any philosophy text she can get her hands on.
